Decorating the kitchen set

We received an order to decorate a cabinet in a new kitchen. The customer asked to replace the transparent corrugated glass with a bronze matte patterned mirror. This page shows all the steps for working with glass in the cabinet.
At first we take out the "original" glass, after marking the matted area with a marker. Cut the mirror to desired size.
After the customer has chosen the drawing, we cut the stencil on a self-adhesive sticker and begin the preparation - we select the unnecessary elements of the stencil. These elements are best removed when the stencil is still on the substrate. In the future this will save you from many unnecessary troubles.
Our stencil is almost ready for transfer, what remains is to stick the mounting (transport) film on it and transfer it to the prepared mirror. After transferring the stencil to the prepared mirror, we allow the film to adhere well to the surface; stand for one day.
A day later, when the film of our stencil has adhered correctly to the glass, we process the mirror with IVSATIN matting paste. Spread the paste evenly over the stencil.
After 10 minutes, we collect the paste back into the container for later use and wash the glass with soap and water.
We remove the stencil, remove the remaining glue with any detergent, and look at the result.
Now we go to the client’s home and set the mirror in its place.
Looking at the image here's what happened in the end. However, any housewife can make such a product. You can do a real professional job by studying our video course.
And these are cabinets decorated with the hands of a matting paste IVSATIN buyer, from Kazakhstan.
If desired, to achieve a brighter effect, the matte pattern on the mirror can be lit with a flexible LED strip.
It looks something like this (poor image quality due to shooting in the dark).

IVSATIN glass etching liquid is intended for matting glass surfaces that cannot be processed with a matting paste, for example, glass or a large format mirror, volumetric glass objects of irregular shape, etc. Processing is carried out by immersion in a liquid, pouring liquid into a glass, spraying with a spray gun (not recommended). The exposure time of the liquid on the glass from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. Over time, the etching density of the glass surface changes from a translucent “fog” to saturated milky white satin (on the mirror).
With IVSATIN glaze, you can partially or completely etch any voluminous glass objects of complex curvilinear shape, such as wine glasses, vases, ashtrays, bulbs, bottles, not only empty, but also with drinks to create an exclusive gift option. Examples in our gallery.

Glass frosting via screen printing: an industrial revolution in mass production
The "IVSATIN-silk screened pro" product line represents the pinnacle of technology in the field of mass glass processing. Our professional chemical etching cream transforms a complex, hazardous chemical process into a standard, fast, and predictable screen printing operation. The advanced chemical formula of IVSATIN acts as a highly effective, stress-free alternative to industrial sandblasting. It permanently alters the glass surface without complex dust-generating machinery or micro-structural material stress, ensuring the glass retains its mechanical strength.

By implementing IVSATIN technology, glass processing plants, mirror factories, and furniture manufacturers can replicate designs, logos, scales, and geometric patterns with millimeter precision, as well as perform solid satin finishing (producing frosted privacy glass) on large-format sheets and mirrors. The result is a perfectly smooth, permanent, premium-quality frosted surface (Satin effect) free of any defects, which cannot be scratched or washed off.
Industrial-Grade Efficiency vs. Retail Solutions

Many commercial glass workshops initially try using consumer-grade products like Armour Etch cream for small jobs. However, for industrial volume and screen printing, retail formulas fail. Unlike hobby-focused Armour Etch, IVSATIN-silk screened pro is specifically engineered for high-mesh screens. It delivers a 10x faster reaction time (from 30 seconds) and eliminates the patchy, uneven look common when applying Armour Etch glass etching cream over large surface areas.

Technological advantages for Chief Engineers and Production Technologists:

Perfect surface quality. Unlike sandblasting, which leaves the glass porous and prone to deep dirt accumulation, IVSATIN cream alters the glass structure at the molecular level. The surface resists fingerprints, oils, and acids, and requires no protective lacquer coating. The result is a perfectly uniform, premium frosted finish (Satin effect) that is chemically bonded to the material. It is completely indelible, cannot be scratched off, and resists industrial cleaning agents, fingerprints, and environmental exposure.

Eco-friendly and Safe (Zero VOC): The cream formula is completely stable and non-volatile. It releases no hazardous fumes into the workspace air during printing. This eliminates the need to design expensive isolated chemical zones and lowers the requirements for workshop ventilation systems.

Ultra-high pattern detail: The sandblasting method through a film distorts the edges of fine elements. Screen printing with our cream allows for the reproduction of ultra-thin lines (from 0.1 mm), halftone screens, gradients, and complex geometric patterns that are unattainable by mechanical methods.

No Initial Capital Requirements (Zero Capex)

You do not need to purchase expensive, bulky equipment or build acid etching lines. IVSATIN technology only requires purchasing the consumable material — the cream itself.

Speed and simplicity of printing

The formulation is applied in exactly the same way as standard screen printing ink. However, while foreign alternatives require minutes, the IVSATIN formula activates instantly — a dense, rich satin finish forms in just 30 seconds or more with a layer thickness of tenths of a millimeter!

Fantastic savings (minimal consumption)

Thanks to its unique formulation, IVSATIN consumption is kept to an absolute minimum. With a fine-tuned process, 1 kg of cream covers 30–45 m² of artistic patterns or 15.5 m² of solid frosting. This outperforms any European analogues.

Absolute production flexibility

You are completely free from the constraints of heavy machinery. Line retooling can be done in real time: you can seamlessly transition from single custom orders to multi-thousand industrial production runs.

Technical parameters & supported materials
* Supported surfaces: Engineered for flawless, permanent results across multiple industrial materials including architectural glass, mirrors, commercial ceramics, porcelain, and natural stone (marble, slate, granite).
* Tooling requirements: Engineered for standard polyurethane squeegees with a hardness rating of 60/65 Shore, operated at an approximate 23° tilt angle for consistent chemical distribution.
* Mesh count compatibility: Optimized for standard screen printing meshes ranging from 40 to 120 mesh.
* Definition & layer density: Guarantees perfectly sharp design edges without bleeding or halos, at a layer thickness of just tenths of a millimeter.
* High-yield reusability: The stable formula allows operators to scrape excess paste off the mesh back into the container for multi-cycle reuse, maximizing production cost efficiency.

Quick Printing Guide
1. Preparation: Mix IVSATIN-silk screened pro cream and Diluent IVSATIN until you reach the optimal viscosity for your specific polyester screen count.
2. Printing process: Print on the air side of the glass using a standard rubber squeegee (60/65 Shore hardness) tilted at approximately 23° with slow, consistent passes.
3. Etching & Washing: The formulation reacts from 30 seconds for thick layer applications, up to 2 minutes when printing through a fine mesh screen (allowing the paste to fully dry is recommended to achieve maximum satin density). Wash the glass thoroughly with pressurized water and clean the screen mesh immediately.

What is required to launch screen printing frosting at your plant?
A minimal kit to integrate the technology into your production cycle:

* IVSATIN-silk screened pro cream + mandatory Diluent IVSATIN (to calibrate viscosity for your mesh counts).
* Standard printing mesh and a squeegee for precise transfer of the formulation onto the glass.
* Semiautomatic printing press and an industrial washing machine (required solely for automating high-volume continuous runs).
* Working conditions: a dry room with air and glass temperatures not lower than 25°C (77°F).
Storage and safety specifications

* Unlimited shelf-life. The product has an unlimited shelf life in tightly closed containers and does not spoil during long-term storage. If crystallization occurs over time, simply mix the formulation thoroughly before use to restore its original smooth consistency.

* Eco-friendly & Safe (Zero VOC). The cream formula is completely stable and non-volatile. It releases no hazardous fumes into the workspace air during printing, eliminating the need for expensive isolated chemical zones or complex ventilation systems.

* Active safety. This product is for professional industrial use only. Standard personal protective equipment (protective gloves and safety goggles) is required during the printing and glass washing phases.

* Documentation. Please refer to the supplied Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for comprehensive handling, storage, and disposal procedures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Armour Etch for industrial screen printing on glass?
No. Armour Etch is a hobby-grade product designed strictly for manual DIY crafting and individual stencils. It is physically impossible to use for professional screen printing. Consumer formulas like Armour Etch cream have a loose, jelly-like consistency that lacks the controlled viscosity required for a printing press. When pushed through a mesh, it bleeds instantly, and once the screen is lifted, the jelly runs together into a blurry mess. IVSATIN pro belongs to a completely different product class—it is an industrial chemical compound engineered with a stable, high-definition viscosity that holds fine lines down to 0.1 mm without bleeding.

Why shouldn't commercial glass factories buy bulk Armour Etch?
Commercial operations require industrial-grade chemical efficiency, not scaled-up retail products. Bulk Armour Etch is still a retail formula packed into a larger container; it cannot provide the repeatable, defect-free satin surface needed for large-format mirror manufacturing or architectural glass sheets. IVSATIN-silk screened pro is engineered from the ground up for serial production lines. It ensures ultra-low consumption (1 kg covers up to 30–45 m² of fine patterns) and eliminates structural micro-stress common with sandblasting, making it the standard choice for B2B glass processing plants.

Provides a dense "satin" with a layer of paste on the glass in tenths of a millimeter.
Matting time from 30 seconds depending on the required density of the matte surface.
Unlike analogs, IVSATIN-home silk-screen paste gives a dense satin, not a translucent fog. This is especially noticeable when frosting transparent glass, not mirrors..
IVSATIN-home silk screened paste is intended for art or background matting with glass or mirrors using screen printing.
This method of frosted glass is extremely economical. Consumption with debugged silk-screen printing technology is 1 kg of paste per 20-25 sq.m. glass. Due to the unique composition, a tenth of a millimeter paste layer is sufficient to obtain a dense, saturated, and frosted image on the glass.
Suitable for home use with all necessary precautions when working with aggressive chemicals.
The best results are observed when printing on a mirror; since the mirror enhances the matte effect due to the reflected light.
Working conditions for obtaining the optimal result: a dry room with an air temperature optimally not lower than 15 degrees, dry and clean glass of the same temperature.
For the manufacture of stencils, it is recommended to use a universal photo-emulsion Azocol Z140.
Sieve number from 49 (optimally!) to 77, squeegee 65 Shore.
